RES GENERAL MANAGER

 

Socrates has a vast experience in Renewable Energy issues for more than 26 professional years. As RES General Manager he is responsible for the strategic plan – design, leading coordination, budgeting and development of licencing procedure, technical performance and implementation of RES investment projects.

During his professional career he has set in operation a total installed capacity of 450 MW of wind parks, 10 MW of Small Hydroelectric Plants, 18 MW of PV Plants, as well as a licensing procedure of a pipeline of 2100 MW, in Greece and Bulgaria.

Socrates holds a Diploma (BSc) in Physics from the University of Patras, a MSc degree in Renewable Energy and the Environment – Department of Engineering, University of Reading (U.K.) and an MBA from the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA).

Socrates is the Secretary General of the Board of the Hellenic Wind Energy Association and a member of the Union of Greek Physicists, and the Institute of Energy (London).
