Today, RESINVEST SA and SOLIS SA have completed the signing of the agreements for the renovation and modernization projects at eight major hospitals and health centers across the country, following related tenders conducted by TAIPED on behalf of the Ministry of Health. Specifically, the contracts involve the University Hospital of Larissa, the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, the General Hospital of Amfissa, the General Hospital of Kefalonia, and the Health Centers of Akrata, Megalopolis, and Nafpaktos. These projects are being implemented within the framework of the “Greece 2.0” National Recovery and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

The RESINVEST – SOLIS consortium is responsible for the design and completion of all necessary works for the upgrade, renovation, and modernization of the clinics, laboratories, and infrastructures of these hospitals and health centers. The upgrades specifically include the development of architectural, structural, and electromechanical studies, civil and electrical engineering works, replacement of lighting systems with new LED technology, upgrade of plumbing installations, enhancement of electromechanical equipment, and building infrastructures (walls, floors, ceilings, insulations, roofs, etc.), as well as the renovation of internal layouts aimed at energy saving, functionality improvement, and accessibility.

The contracts were signed on behalf of RESINVEST by CEO Mr. Konstantinos Vasilakos, and on behalf of SOLIS SA, by CEO Mr. Christos Karkantos, and Vice President Mr. Stefanos Liapis. All signing events were attended by state officials including the Minister of Health Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Marios Themistocleous, the General Secretary of Public Health Mrs. Eirini Agapidaki, representatives from the hospitals, and other prominent political and health personalities.

The timeframe for the completion of the construction works varies from 12 to 21 months from the date of signing each contract followed by a 15-month maintenance period.

RESINVEST, through its team of accredited engineers and consultants, successfully completed the second cycle of energy audits at Allianz, as well as the carbon footprint report, as defined by the National Climate Law (Law 4936/2022). Energy audits and the carbon footprint report are critical tools for businesses to reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Their implementation is a significant measure for sustainability, corporate responsibility, and environmental protection.

The energy audit, conducted every four years according to Law 4342/2015, constitutes a comprehensive examination of the energy efficiency and energy systems of the company. Following inspections of the company’s properties, RESINVEST’s certified energy auditors identified areas for improvement in energy performance and proposed strategies to optimize energy efficiency, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and the carbon footprint.

Regarding the carbon footprint report, it serves as an important tool for measuring and evaluating a company’s greenhouse gas emissions resulting from its activities. The analysis allows the business to understand its overall impact on the environment and identify areas requiring further improvement to reduce its carbon footprint. Both direct and indirect carbon dioxide emissions for all activities of a company are thoroughly documented. The report was prepared by experienced and specialized personnel at RESINVEST and certified by a third-party certification body according to the ISO 14064 standard.

As extreme temperatures and heat waves become more frequent and intense, it is imperative that we take immediate action to reduce carbon emissions and prevent these extraordinary events from becoming the new normality. This article will delve into the implications of climate change on heat waves and extreme temperatures, explore the role of renewable energy in achieving the Paris Climate Agreement, and emphasize the importance of adopting an energy-saving culture among individuals.

1. The Paris Climate Agreement: A Milestone for Climate Action

It brought together 196 countries in a commitment to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, with an aspirational target of limiting it to 1.5 degrees Celsius. We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that we have successfully signed a new Energy Efficiency Agreement with the Municipality of Chaidari. This agreement not only demonstrates our continued commitment to sustainability but also showcases our extensive experience and expertise in the field of energy efficiency and lighting.

Under this agreement, that has been signed following an international tender, RESINVEST will be replacing a total of 4,235 conventional lights with energy-efficient LED lights and will undertake the installation and operation of a remote control and energy management system. Leveraging our expertise, we aim to achieve an impressive energy efficiency rate of 82%, significantly reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

Following a National tender process, the Municipality of Agia announced that the consortium “RESINVES- INTRAKAT” has emerged as the victorious bidder, securing the groundbreaking tender agreement. This partnership marks a significant step forward in Agia’s commitment to sustainable progress through the implementation of state-of-the-art LED lights.

With our expertise and innovative approach, the Municipality of Agia can look forward to a transformational LED lighting project that will not only illuminate the city but also bring substantial energy savings and environmental benefits to Agia and its residents.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a groundbreaking project by the Consortium RESINVEST and RENI DS for the Municipality of Kileler and the Hellenic Association of Municipal Enterprises for Water Supply and Sewerage (E.D.E.Y.A.): the construction of a state-of-the-art Photovoltaic (PV) Park with a capacity of 1 MW! 

Following a competitive national tender, we are proud to have been awarded the contract for the supply of PV Panels, as well as the construction, grid connection, electrification and 5 years maintenance of this remarkable park. It has been an honor to contribute to the sustainable development of Kileler and the promotion of clean energy in the region.

We are delighted to share that the electricity produced by the PV Park will directly benefit the Municipality of Kileler within the frames of energy productivity initiatives. By harnessing the power of the sun, the park will significantly decrease the municipality’s expenses on energy consumption. This demonstrates the tremendous economic advantages and long-term cost savings associated with renewable energy.

Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of this project meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We have utilized the latest advancements in PV technology to optimize energy production and minimize environmental impact.
